Four of a family murdered near Allagadda Kurnool, Feb 25: Four persons were killed and another seriously injured when miscreants attacked them while they were sleeping in their house in Chinna Chintakunta village of Allagadda mandal late Friday night.
A group of over ten persons entered the house of Injeti Krishna Reddy (49) and attacked the inmates with hunting sickles.
While his wife Govindamma (45) and his follower Dubbodu (40) died on the spot, Krishna Reddy succumbed to his injuries at Allagadda hospital. His son Maikarjuna Reddy (25) died on was to Kurnool Hospital.
The miscreants, who were wearing masks, entered the house in the cover of darkness and carried out the attack before the family members could comprehend the situation. After stabbing the members indiscriminately, they left the scene in a vehicle.
The condition of Krishna Reddy's uncle Rama Subba Reddy (60), admitted to Allagadda Hospital is stated to be serious.
Krishna Reddy, a follower of former Nandyal MP Bhuma Nagi Reddy, had rivalry with his brother and the two have common business interests.
On complaint by Rama Subba Reddy, police registered a case, DSP DR Srinivasulu said Allagadda MLA Sobha and her husband Bhuma Nagi Reddy visited the hospital.
