APTA observes Thrombosis day On the occasion of world thrombosis day on October 13th, American Progressive Telugu Association conducted various awareness camps on Thrombosis across US and Telugu states. APTA President Gopala Gudapati participated in the awareness camp organised at the Pain management hospital premises in Houston.
One in every four in the world is dying of Thrombosis due to lack of proper awareness. In order to educate people, especially Telugus, APTA took the initiative and conducted different programmes across US and 10 other places in Telugu states.
APTA's doctors team head Dr.Kumar Kottapalli said that the initiative became successful because of the planning and sincere efforts of Dr.Ravi Akula, Dr.Sai Kolla, Dr.Nagi Reddy, Dr.Surya and Dr.Neeraja.
APTA President Gopala Gudapati, Vice President JJV Subramanyam, North East Regional Coordinator Banarasi Tippa, New Jersey Coordinator Satya Vejju made necessary arrangements for the Doctors team and played a key role in the successful conduct of the event.
Here are the details of different programmes conducted on account of Thrombosis day.
Visakhapatnam: Under the leadership of Dr.Neeraja, Subham Prema hospitals head Dr.Adi Narayana Sunkara, Dr.Sashi Prabha and Dr.Raj conducted awareness camp at the hospital premises.
Vijayawada: APTA members Erramsetti Sri and Erramsetti Siva lead the event in Liberty hospitals headed by Erramsetti Ravi. Dr.Durga Rao also took part. APTA member Namburi Krishna participated in the event at Dr.Prabhakar Rao hospital.
Guntur: Dr.Uday Sankar and Dr.Durgarao educated public about the effects of Thrombosis and precautions to be taken, at Ahalya hospitals.
Dachepally: Under the guidance of APTA empire region vice President Banarasi Tippa, Thrombosis awareness camp was conducted in the local Panchayat Bhavan that was attended by area CI, MRO, Govt doctors and lot of people.
Kakinada: Amruta hospital head D.Kiran and Dr.Sasidhar lead the awareness programme.
Tirupati: APTA member Sameera Chavakula educated public about Thrombosis in Elite hospital premises. She also headed the event in Life hospitals, Nandyala.
America: Pain management hospital head Dr.Surya Ragatu, Dr.Venkat Veerisetti, Dr.Manjula Ragatu, APTA President Gopala Gudapati, APTA board Secretary Rajesh Yallabandi participated in the mega awarenss camp conducted in the Pain management hospital premises in Houston, Texas.
In Missouri, Dr.Nagireddi lead the event in his hospital premises to which several APTA members and public attended.
