Congress leader injured as assailants open fire Hyderabad, Aug 13 (INN): A Congress leader was injured when unidentified persons assailants opened fire at him in Old Bowenpally of Hyderabad on Saturday, police said.
According to the reports, some bike-borne assailants suddenly opened fire on Yadagiri Goud while he was entering his house and fled the spot leaving the gun behind. The Congress leader fell to the ground. The bleeding victim was rushed to a nearby hospital. Police suspect that land disputes could be the reason for the attack. Mr Goud is said to be in the real estate and liquor business.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy visited the scene of the firing and said that all angles would be probed in the case to book the culprits.
