Panjagutta graveyard modernisation works begins Hyderabad, Dec 8 (INN): GHMC Mayor B. Rammohan and Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin on Thursday laid the foundation for the development of Panjagutta grave yard at a cost of Rs. 3 crores.
This project is being taken up as a part of modernization of grave yards in the twin cities the said project will be completed within three months, the Mayor said while speaking to media persons.
The Mayor said that in the first phase, development works with regard to eight grave yards are in progress. He said that the GHMC has been trying its level best to complete the project within the stipulated time. In Panjagutta grave yard, the GHMC is planning to provide basic infrastructure for the citizens by providing with one VIP ghat, 5 platforms, rest rooms and other basic minimum facilities.
Corporator Manne Kavitha, Chief Engineer Subhash Singh, Zonal Commissioner N. Ravi Kiran, Deputy Commissioner K. Satyanarayana and other senior officials of various wings of the Central Zone have participated in the programme.
