Four persons commit suicide Hyderabad, Jan 24 (INN): In separate cases, four persons committed suicide due to different reasons.
A 19-year-old girl, B. Sirisha, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in Suraram in Dundigal police limits on Monday night. Enquiries by the police revealed that Sirisha's parents had recently fixed her marriage and went to their native place to sell an ancestral property to arrange money dowry and other expenses. Sirisha was reportedly upset that her parents were forced to sell away their property for her marriage and went into depression which consequently drove her to the extreme step.
In another case, A. Lavanya, 18, committed suicide as she was upset with her parents searching a match for her marriage. She resorted to the extreme step by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in ACS Nagar on Monday night, according to Tukkaramgate police.
In a different case, B.K. Laxmi Devi, 58, of Tilak Nagar, who had consumed poison on January 22, died at the Gandhi Hospital on Monday night. According to Kachiguda police, ill-health is suspected to be the reason behind suicide.
In a separate case, Mohd Karim, 22, of Borampet, a tent shop owner, committed suicide after his father Imamuddin rebuked him for getting habituated to consumption of liquor. He took the extreme step by hanging to a tree in an open plot in R.K. Township area in Dundigal police limits on Monday night.
