Forest Officer Suspended in Hunting Case Hyderabad, Jan 8 (INN): Forest Range Officer of Pembi (Nirmal District) Hafeezuddin has been suspended for allegedly suppressing the hunting case of a Neelgai.
FRO Pembi Hafezzuddin, who is Dy Range officer cadre holding Range charge of Pembi, had detected Neelgai hunting and seized 10kg of Neelgai meat (December 31st) in the house of Guglavath Prakash who is main accused in recent seizure of Tiger skin in Ichoda. However, the FRO neither booked any wildlife offence case nor made any reports regarding this Neelgai case.
"Had FRO been vigilant and dutiful the main accused Guglavat Prakash would have been arrested on 31st December itself. FRO has neglected his responsibility and serious action is being initiated against FRO Pembi and other staff responsible for this lapse. Moreover, he has allowed more of illegal sand mining in his range. After the Enquiry CF Adilabad Saravanan suspended Pembi FRO," said a press release from Forest Department on Tuesday.
Criminal action is also initiated against FRO Pembi for his involvement in suppressing the hunting cases in his range and encouraging illegal activities.
