Two held for circulating fake currency Kurnool, Sept 28 (INN): Police took in custody two persons for circulating fake currency at Kovelakunta in Kurool district, late on Monday night. According to Inspector Murali, accused Venganna (30) and Subbarayudu (55) were caught by policemen while circulating the fake currency in the market. Two currency notes, having the face value of Rs 100 were seized from their possession. During interrogation, the accused confessed that they had received the fake currency from one Goud. They claimed that they were paid in the ratio of 1:3. The two also revealed that Goud hailed from Mahabubnagar district.
The accused also revealed that since 2006, they, along with nine other persons have circulated Rs 50,000 in fake currency in the market. Police registered a case under section 489 B and 489 C against Venganna and Subbarayadu. Further investigations are on to nab Venkatachary, Dr Babu, V Chary, Venkataramana, Thimaiah, Ramanjneyulu, Ram Mohan and two others who were absconding.
