Woman found dead in Tirumala cottage Tirumala, Nov 16 (INN): A woman pilgrim to the hill shrine temple of Lord Venkateswara was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Govardhan cottage at Tirumala on Tuesday. According to police, the victim was identified as a Jayanthi aged about around 30 years. she was a resident of Dharmapuri in Tamil Nadu state. Jayanthi had taken room No 87 of Goverdhan Cottage on rent along with three other persons on November 11.
The police revealed that Jayanthi had not ventured out of the room since November 12. The Cottage staff finally informed the police after becoming suspicious on Tuesday. Policemen broke into the room where they found her dead. The body bore minor injuries. It was shifted to hospital for autopsy. A clues team was also pressed into service. The police are trying to ascertain the motive behind the murder. They believe that the persons who had stayed with her may have committed the offence. A case has been registered.
