Family hacks relatives over property dispute Ongole, Dec 28 (INN): A property dispute among brothers led to the brutal killing of one person at the hands of his relatives at Ammavaripalli village, Markapuram mandal in the district on Tuesday morning. According to Markapuram Sub-Inspector, Korukundu Srinu (28), son of Chinna Venkataiah was hacked to death at the hands of his relatives due to a dispute about the sharing of property. Srinu's father is believed to have been involved in the property dispute with his elder brother Pedda Venkataiah, which led to an argument between the families of the brothers on Monday evening.
Early on Tuesday morning, Pedda Venkataiah, his sons and son-in-laws Pedda Venkateshwarlu, Chinna Venkateshwarlu, Edukondalu, Mohan Rao, Srinu, daughters and daughters-in-laws Ramanamma, Lakshmi Devi, Chandrakala and Padmavathy managed to lay their hands on the victim and hacked him with axes and sickles. The attack left the victim dead on the spot. One of the attackers has the same name as the victim, the SI clarified.
The attack also left the victim's father Chinna Venkataiah, mother Chittemma, wife Subba lakshmi and Pedda Venkateshwarlu with grievous injuries. They were rushed to hospital for treatment and are presently stated to be in a stable condition. Police reached the spot on getting information and shifted the victim to hospital for autopsy. A case has been registered Under Section 302, 307 and 324 IPC. Attempts are on to nab the absconding accused.
