Two panchaloha idols recovered, four held Rajahmundry, Jan 27 (INN): The Rajahmundry police on Thursday arrested apprehended four persons and recovered two panchaloha idols from them in East Godavari district. According to police, the two idols are believed to be valued at Rs about Rs 50 lakh in the international market. The police said that the idols were being taken in a van which was stopped during routine checking operations.
The police grew suspicious on seeing the nervousness on the faces of the van occupants and made them open the rear door of the van to discover the idols being transported illegally. The four persons were arrested and will be produced in court.
