Three seventh class students drown Nizamabad, April 21 (INN): Three seventh standard students drowned in the Konapur lake when they went there for a swim at Konapur village, Banswada mandal in the district on Thursday noon.
According to Sub-Inspector Sudhakar, the victims were identified as K Baskhar, Sailu, Sangamesh who were studying in the seventh standard of the local school. All the three victims were believed to be around 13 years of age.
The three boys were returning home after attending school on Thursday afternoon when they decided to take a dip in the lake. They drowned soon after.
The other students are believed to have informed the school management who in turn informed the police. The police rushed to the spot and managed to retrieve the bodies from the lake with the help of the locals. A case has been registered. The bodies have been sent to the government hospital for autopsies.
