Three of family killed in wall collapse Kurnool, April 24 (INN): A brother and sister were crushed to death on the spot while their nephew died later when a wall collapsed on them while they were sleeping at Erragunta village, Sirivella mandal in Kurnool district on intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
According to Sub-Inspector Shiva, the victims were identified as Saroja (42), Kamesh (25) and Ravi Teja (15). They were residents of Erragunta village. Saroja was the wife of Sudhakar and had come to her brother's residence to attend the rituals connected with the death of a relative.
Mr Shiva said that the three siblings were sleeping in the verandah of their residence as their asbestos roof inside the house was leaking. The police official said that the recent rains had soaked the wall to the extent that it collapsed on the victims.
The debris crushed Saroja and Kamesh to death on the spot while an injured Ravi Teja was rushed by neighbours to Kurnool Government Hospital. However, he died while on the way to the hospital and doctors declared him brought dead.
