Chityal Tahsildar in ACB net Warangal, May 6 (INN): Anti Corruption Bureau Sleuths red-handed caught Chityal mandal Tahsildar, when he demanded and accepted Rs 30,000 as bribe for doing an official favour.
According to ACB officials, the accused officer was identified as Lingala Suri Babu (52), who is working as a Tahsildar in Chityal Mandal, Warangal district.
Suri Babu was caught red-handed late on Thursday night, when he demanded and accepted Rs 30,000as bribe from a person. The official favour was to issue the no objection certificate and forwarding the same to the Assistant Director, Mines and Geology, Warangal District.
The tainted amount of Rs 30,000 was recovered from the residence of Mr Suri Babu at his instance. Suri Babu's right hand fingers of yielded positive result when subjected to chemical test.
He was arrested and is being produced before the Honorable Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Hyderabad. Case is under investigation.
