Rameshwarapalli VRO in ACB net Nizamabad, May 6 (INN): Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths on Friday red-handed caught Rameshwarapalli Village Revenue Officer, when he demanded and accepted Rs 4,000 from a person for doing an official favour.
According to ACB officials, accused officer was identified as A Narsinga Rao (57), who was working as a Village Revenue Officer in Rameshwarapalli, Biknoor Mandal. He was caught red-handed by the ACB Officials in Gram Panchayath office, when he demanded and accepted Rs 4,000as bribe from a person.
The official favour was mutation of agricultural land of the complainant to the sister of Rajyam. The tainted amount of Rs 4,000 was recovered from the office table drawer of Narsinga Rao, which was kept under lock and key, at his instance.
Both hands of A Narsinga Rao yielded positive result, when subjected to chemical test. Narsinga Rao is being arrested and will be produced before the Honorable Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Hyderabad. Case is under investigation.
