Gottipati, Paleti all set to join YSR Congress Ongole: Prakasam district is set to give two more surprises to the YSR Congress with two former legislators waiting to join the new outfit, generating further heart to beat this summer heat.
The two former legislators, Gottipati Narasaiah of Parchuru and Paleti Rama Rao of Chirala, are waiting to jump onto the YSR Congress bandwagon this week.
They would formally join the YSRCP in the presence of party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who is set to visit the district for electioneering on May 19. While Narasaiah comes from the Congress, Rama Rao is walking out of the Telugu Desam.
Narasaiah comes from the family of Gottipati Hanumantha Rao, a strongman of Prakasam. Due to the factions and rift, Narasaiah moved to Congress with the support of late YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
Now, his coming to the YSRCP gives a candidate for the party to face Daggubati Venkateswara Rao of Congress at Paruchuru for the next elections.
Paleti Rama Rao, a self-made man in Telugu Desam, is set to give a tough fight to Congress and Telugu Desam at Chirala. Rama Rao, a former minister from Telugu Desam Party and elected as MLA from Chirala twice, joined the Praja Rajyam Party of Chiranjeevi and contested the 2009 elections from Chirala, which he had lost.
The two former MLAs will take out rallies from their respective Assembly constituencies and reach Ongole on that day, extending support to party candidate and former minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy in the by-polls.
