'Ravi Teja back in form' Superstar Ravi Teja had a rather disappointing year with his three films 'Nippu', 'Daruvu' and 'Devudu Chesina Manushulu' failing to stamp his authority at the box-office, but director Parasuram who helmed the actor for 'Sarocharu' says that the actor will be back in form.
When asked will 'Sarocharu' change Ravi Teja's fortunes? 'I didn't consider his earlier films before meeting him for the narration. Who am I to change his fortunes? He's a big star. I felt he was apt for my the story. It was not written keeping him in mind,' he responds.
Giving a peep into Ravi Teja's role in the film, the 'Solo' director reveals, 'His fans will get to see a new Ravi Teja and I guarantee it. His character Karthik is modelled based on his body language and dialogue delivery.
He has two shades in the film. He is a software engineer by profession, but teaches football which is his passion,' by smiling, ' With the help of my cameraman Vijay K Chakravarthy I made sure that he looks more glamorous on screen.'
While the director is guarded about his film he terms it is as a triangular love story. 'I've focused on a unique point on relations.
Since I got Ravi Teja on board, the point that I wanted to discuss had to be dealt at full-length as the reach will be far more,' he says without revealing much.
Accepting that the promotions of the film are not in full-swing, he says that big stars flicks need not be promoted on a large canvas.
'We felt it was not necessary to go big with her promotions as Ravi Teja has his fan-base and market. Newcomers can be promoted by going all out, but not a star hero as people wait for their films.
Oh maa cinemaki aa promotion cheyali idhi cheyali- it was not the need of hour for us. Our film is anticipated,' informs Parasuram by suggesting that the actor called him to prepare another subject after the debacle of 'Anjaneyulu' which he directed.
'Just because your earlier film with a certain hero flopped at the box-office it doesn't mean that you will not get another opportunity to work him. It doesn't work that way in the industry. People thrive on talent.
