Tirupati police seize 800 gms of cocaine
Tirupati, Oct 19 (INN): In a major breakthrough, the Tirupati police on Wednesday took two students into custody and seized about 800 grams of cocaine from their possession. The value of seized drugs is said to be around Rs 2 crore in the open market.
The accused were later identified as Pradeep Kumar of Anantapur and Madhu Kumar of Cuddapah districts. Both are engineering students. However, the police have not yet disclosed as to how these students have procured the drugs in such a large quantity.
Both the accused have been taken into custody for interrogation. Police suspect that an organised gang could be behind the supply of cocaine to these students. This is for the first time that drugs were seized in such a large quantity in the temple town.
