No remuneration for Pawan-Veny duo Venkatesh and Meena starrer Drushyam has become one of the biggest hits of 2014. The film directed by Sri Priya has set the cash registers ringing and creating new records at the ticket window.
It is worth mentioning that Venkatesh didn't take remuneration and worked on profit sharing basis and reports suggest that the same theory is going to be applied again for his new movie Gopala Gopala, a remake of Bollywood film Oh My God. Pawan Kalyan will be seen in a pivotal role in this comic satire and the actor has recently joined the sets.
The film will be made on a budget of Rs 15 crore and it is learnt that both Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan are not charging a penny as remuneration for this film. In fact, they will take their share after the business of the film is closed.
So the speculation of Pawan Kalyan getting Rs 10 crores as his remuneration for this film is not a fact. Directed by Kishore Pardasani aka Dolly, the makers are planning to unveil the first look of the film on August 15, 2014 on the occasion of Janmashtami.
The film features Shriya Saran as the leading lady has music by Anup Rubens and is slated for Sankranthi 2015. Needless to say if Gopala Gopala turns out to be a big hit, many actors will follow this business model.
