Malaysian govt felicitates Chiru Actor turned politician Chiranjeevi received a warm welcome and was honored at South India International Movie Awards (SIIMA) by the Malaysian government for his contribution to films and Indian tourism.
In a career spanning over three decades Chiranjeevi has acted in 149 films and is gearing up to make a comeback to films after a brief political stint. The 59-year-old actor received standing ovation as a mark of respect from the large gathering.
The event that was graced by over 200 distinguished personalities from Tollywood, Kollywood, Malluwood and Sandalwood including the likes of Sridevi-Boney Kapoor, Tamannah Bhatia, Huma Quereshi, Shriya Saran, Asin, Rana Daggubati, Simbu, Kriti Kharbanda was a grand gala ceremony that represented South Cinema in a global platform.
Speaking at the event Sridevi heaped praises on Chiranjeevi and lauded him for his contribution to the cinema. Kollywood actor Simbu claimed that it was an honor to receive an award in the presence of Chiru.
Needless to say the felicitation from the Malaysian government has certainly increased the confidence of Chiranjeevi who struggled to prove his mettle as a politician.
