Honor for Tanikella in British parliament Actor-turned-filmmaker Tanikella Bharani, known for his multi talented skills, has added another feather to his cap with his writing skills. A rare honor was bestowed upon Tanikella Bharani when his latest book Pyaasa was launched in the British Parliament. This is the first time that a Telugu book was launched in the British Parliament.
When asked about the honour, Tanikella Bharani says the book facilitation was happened with the efforts by AP Deputy Speaker Mandali Budha Prasad.
Tanikella thanked a British Parliament Member Dan Byles, and the UK Telugu Association. Apparently, Dan Byles who is a British Parliament Member and married to Telugu girl Prashanthi Reddy has taken special care to release a Telugu book in the house for the first time ever.
'Pyaasa' is about love which has got universal appeal and Tanikella took inspiration from Omar Khayyam's 'Rubraiyat' to pen the book. Tanikella has worked in more than 750 films (Including Tamil, Kannada and Hindi) and he has garnered three Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Awards.
