Jana Sena gets EC recognition Here comes the good news for all power star fans and followers. Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena is now an officially recognized political party. Election Commission of India has cleared Jana Sena's application and it rubbished the claim of another party about the name. Pawan floated Jana Sena Party and helped TDP-BJP combine to come to power in AP in 2014 general elections and the party was floated with the sole intention of questioning.
The Election Commission of India recently released the latest list of new political parties and Jana Sena Party does not find a place. But it is learnt later that the list contained those parties names that were already registered with the EC.
Pawan's party registration formalities were completed and now EC recognized it as political party under section 29A of the Representation of the People Act. 1951.
JSP, floated amid much hype and hoopla by Pawan Kalyan did not contest the elections and does not even have a formal organisational structure. As per reports Power Star Pawan Kalyan is seriously contemplating on testing strength of his newly launched Party. He is planning to contest the forthcoming elections for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
