Star hero meets CM to discuss farmer's issues Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar on Tuesday met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and discussed about farmers suicide.Bollywood superstar helped raise funds for families of 100 drought-hit farmers in Maharashtra. After knowing the news Kejriwal invited Akshay for a meeting to congratulate the actor for his efforts. Akshay was in the national capital to promote his upcoming film "Sing Is Bliing".
The meeting was happened for more than thirty minutes and Akshay reportedly raised concern over the deteriorating farming sector, farmers' suicides. The actor who has been working for farmers concerns since few months reportedly suggested ways to help them out of the distress situation.
Delhi CM praised Akshay for his efforts to help the farmers of Maharashtra. Kejriwal assured the actor saying that the government would do whatever possible for the farmers.
Akshay recently joined veteran Bollywood actor Nana Patekar who has been trying to help the drought-hit farmers of the state. Akshay joined Nana Patekar's NGO to help drought-hit farmers in Maharashtra. Akshay is also providing support to 30 farmers every month. The actor pledged Rs 90 lakh for relief of the farmers.
