SCR collects Rs 6.21 lakh form ticketless travelers Hyderabad, Dec 6 (INN): The Secunderabad Division of South Central Railway conducted 'A Fortress Check' against ticketless and irregular travel at Secunderabad Railway station on 6th December.
The check was conducted under the direct supervision of A Bharat Bhushan, Chief Commercial Manager, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager and other officials were also present.
As many as 155 Ticket checking staff and 23 Railway Protection Force Personnel were involved in the check in 59 Express Trains, 10 Passenger Trains and 45 MMTS Trains. A total of 1,728 persons were apprehended out of which 978 persons were travelling without ticket and 495 persons were found travelling on irregular tickets and 255 cases of un-booked luggage were also detected during the drive.
A total of Rupees 6.21 Lakhs was realized as fare and excess charge.
