Vote for Change, requests Jagan Kakinada (East Godavari dist), March 11: Sounding the poll bugle from the coastal city, YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the time of reckoning has come for all sections of the people to teach the Chandrababu Naidu government a fitting lesson in the April 11 elections and asked them to vote for change to usher in welfare and development in equal measure.
Addressing a massive public meeting a day after the election notification was announced, the Leader of Opposition said, 'I could feel the pain every time you were injured during your journey with me in the Opposition for the past nine years and I know how all sections of the society have faced the discrimination of the Chandrababu Naidu government for the past five years.
The incessant bundle of lies showered by Chandrababu Naidu to create an illusionary hype with the help of his friendly media, the fake surveys, bogus promises, cyber crime from data theft, to criminal intent of being involved in cash for vote scam besides rampant corruption and stepping back on all the poll promises from loan waiver to farmers and women groups to closure of belt shops stand as a testimony to the nature of the TDP leadership, he said and appealed to the people to elect a leader who stands for values and credibility.
The elections are not between two political parties but it is a fight between credibility and opportunism, it is a fight between democracy and anarchy. The people should decide with all their wisdom and vote for the credible person.
'We have seen Chandrababu Naidu shifting his stand on all issues but for the nepotism and corruption, and I assure you that Navaratnas will be implemented and the time has come for a change, a change for betterment and prosperity,' he said.
Much fuss is made about Form 7 which is a democratic right which should be safeguarded as Chandrababu Naidu is a known cyber criminal who was involved in data theft and had given the personal details of the state residents to private companies and has been engineering large scale deletion of names from the voters' list in a methodical manner. He has been using police force to gather information about who is voting for whom to enable the names to disappear from the data base through the app his close associate has developed, he said.
When we are doing what we are supposed to do when 59 lakh bogus votes are included and many names are missing from the list, he has been spreading canards about Form 7. It was he who has deleted the names and it has been he who has been shouting that their names are being deleted without telling which private company has the data and who has been defending him.
It is high time that such an unscrupulous person should go, as people are vexed with his lies, u-turns, deceptions and cheating. He was responsible for the division of the state and he was responsible for stalling the Special Category Status (SCS), defaced the Polavaram project and stood as a promoter of real estate business in the capital area region, he said.
The election notification is a death knell to TDP as he failed his core promises of providing jobs and stipend and one week before elections, he gives many sops to his benamis as a parting gift and announcing schemes which go beyond his term. All the five years, he was busy making merry and money and at the fag-end he comes up with announcements which he cannot fulfil as we have seen what he has done in 2014 elections.
He called upon the party cadre to ensure that the names of Party sympathisers are included in voters' list and ensure that they come and vote on April 11 to flush out TDP.
