HRD Training to ASEAN Officials Hyderabad, March 17 (INN): Governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh E.S.L. Narasimhan will inaugurate the Training Program on 'e-Payments, Financial Inclusion, and Social Security' for Civil Servants from ASEAN countries on March 18th at 11: 30 AM at Raj Bhavan.
The first-ever training program for global audience, being conducted by Dr MCR HRD Institute, Government of Telangana has been sponsored by ASEAN Secretariat Jakarta, Indonesia and Government of India.
The training program is being attended by 12 Senior & Middle Level Civil Servants from the ASEAN countries, with the break up being 4 from Indonesia, 3 from Cambodia, 2 each from Myanmar and Thailand, and 1 from Malaysia. Of the 12 officers, 6 are ladies.
The focus of the training program is to explore the ways and means of using the e-Payment technologies to provide reliable financial solutions to the economically underprivileged sections of the society, across the globe.
A large number of highly eminent resource persons from across the country, including Sanjay Saxena, Chief Financial Officer, National Payments Corporation of India, Mumbai, Dr. Indu Bhushan, CEO ' Ayushman Bharat, Govt. of India, Brig. B. Chandrasekar, Chief Post Master General, Telangana Circle, Dr. Mahendra P Lama, Professor of South Asian Economics, Jawaharlal Nehru University, etc., will be addressing the ASEAN Civil Servants.
The training program, inter alia, will provide a vibrant platform not only in exchanging ideas and experiences on e-Payments, Financial Inclusion, and Social Security but also in identifying global best practices in these domains.
The training program will conclude on March 25th. Gurjit Singh, former Indian Ambassador to Germany & Indonesia will be the Chief Guest and Ravi Shankar Isola, former Indian Ambassador to Lao People's Democratic Republic will be the Guest of Honour at the valedictory Function.
