Vakulamatha Temple to be renovated Hyderabad, March 26 (INN): Endowments Minister C Ramchandraiah on Tuesday informed the State Legislative Assembly that Vakulamatha Temple located near Tirupati would be renovated by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD).
In his reply to a question raised by BJP member E Lakshmi Narayana and others, the minister said that the fencing and step works were commenced initially and as per the orders of the High Court, all the related works were stopped.
The TTD has taken up necessary measures for protection of said temple immediately after taking possession of the site from the Revenue Department by providing fencing. However, the works were stopped due to the interim orders of the High Court.
The High Court, in its interim orders, directed that necessary action shall be taken forthwith not only to prevent illegal quarry operations, but also to protect the temple. Giving details of the court order, the minister claimed that no illegal mining was being carried in the area.
