Bhavanis throng Kanaka Durga temple VIJAYAWADA: The devotees rush continued at the Durga temple here Sunday, despite the completion of the Dasara Mahotsavams with Bhavanis thronged the temple in huge numbers.
More than sixty thousand devotees had darshan of goddess Kanakadurga on Sunday. 'We have earmarked the day following the conclusion of Dasara Mahotsavams completely for Bhavanis. But they have come in such huge numbers that even on Sunday they formed a major part of devotees,' informed temple EO V Trinadha Rao.
More than five lakh Bhavanis have visited the temple over the past two days. Though rush of devotees has not decreased, the police bandobust has been taken out. Police from other places, deputed at temple for Mahotsavams have already left the city.
