Five pedestrians killed in road accidents Hyderabad, Dec 13 (INN): In separate cases, five pedestrians were killed in road accidents at different places in the city and its outskirts.
In Mailardepally police limits, a 44-year-old man died on the spot after he was hit by a RTC bus going from Chandrayangutta to Katedhan on Friday night. He was later identified as P Kondaiah, a teacher and resident of Gowlipura of Old City of Hyderabad.
In another case, 65-year-old K Timmakka, a GHMC sweeper, died on the spot after she was hit by a motorcycle while crossing the road near Salarjung Museum on Saturday morning. She was a resident of ASR Nagar of Gudimalkapur. Mirchowk police have registered a case of negligent driving against the bike rider.
In a separate case, Yousuf Bi, 55, of Jeedimetla, died of injuries which she suffered after being hit by a speeding car near Toopran crossroads on Friday. She was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital where she succumbed today, Toopran police said.
In a different case, an unidentified woman of about 60 years suffered grievous injuries when he was hit by a private bus near Mandha Mallamma Garden Function Hall in Karmanghat area. She was immediately rushed to the Osmania General Hospital where she was declared brought dead, Saroornagar police said. In a similar case, an unidentified man died on the spot after he was hit and run by an unidentified vehicle near Information Colony on Injapur Road on Friday night. The man was aged about 38 years, according to Hayathnagar police.
Both the bodies have been preserved at the OGH mortuary for post-mortem and identification.
