Andhra Batsman Triple Century in Ranji Trophy Ongole, February 7. Andhra batsman Kona Srikar Bharat become the first batsman to score a triple century in the Ranji Trophy Championship.
Bharat scored 308 runs against Goa on the second day of the 4 day Ranji Trophy match at CSR Sarma College grounds, Ongole.
His knock of 308 runs contained (6x6, 38x4) in 311 balls with strike rate of 99.04, a record strike rate for scoring a triple century.
The wicket keeper and stylish right hand opening batsman hailing from vishakapatnam born on 3rd October 1993 started his cricketing career during 2006-2007 from U-13 age group tournament representing Andhra, continued playing for all the age groups of BCCI tournaments before he made his debut in Rangji Trophy against Kerala during 2012-13 season. He represented South Zone in Prof D.B. Deodhar Trophy during 2013-14 season.
This triple century is the second of the centuries in his career as well as this season, the first is being an unbeaten 130 against Hyderabad.
