'Annamaiah Paata-Maata' Across the Globe : TTD EO


 
Tirupati, May 18: TTD Executive Officer Dr D Samba Siva Rao said that 'Annamaiah Paata-Maata' the new programme which will be inaugurated by TTD on May 19 in Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati is aimed at propagating Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavam across the globe.

Addressing media persons in Mahati Auditorium on Monday evening, the EO said, the chief motto of this novel programme is take the glory of the Lord through the essence of the sankeertans penned by famous saint poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya. 'The saint poet has penned over 32thousand sankeertans in praise of Lord Venkateswara out of which only 14thousands are available. TTD has composed tunes for nearly 1400 songs out which 400 in the last eight months. Another 1000 are in offing and renowned musicians are already on job to compose tunes to these keertans', he maintained.

The EO said, under the joint collaboration of TTD's Annamacharya Project, SV Recording Project and SVBC, a new programme has been mulled where in the keertans will be rendered by renowned artistes and the essence of these keertans will be narrated by famous scholars by setting up a specially decked up stage in Mahati Auditorium. These songs will be telecasted by SVBC and following the reception from the global audience more episodes will be recorded', he maintained.

Earlier, Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar said, 'Initially we are planning to record 10-12 episodes with duration of one hour. There will be seven persons on the stage including three singers, three scholars and an anchor in this programme. The singers includes budding artistes who won accolades on various singing platforms, youth who got selected in Kalaneerajanam and renowned veteran artistes also take part in this unique programme of its kind', he maintained.

Later TTD EO and JEO inspected the arrangements in Mahati Auditorium where a rich stage has been set up to shoot the programme with a huge replica statue of Saint Poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya in sitting posture stood as a special attraction.
