Cambridge English launches free App


 
Cambridge English has launched an online / mobile app ' the Cambridge English India Network and to commemorate Teachers pecial competition for English teachers - 'English in the Classroom' is being launched on September 5.

The app provides a platform for educators to connect with one another, view and share resources and essentially be a networking platform. The platform offers a managed network to enable seamless flow of information and becomes a repository of all the past communication and learning resources that can retrieved and reused with convenience. English teachers from schools as well as colleges are members of this networking app where they can connect with each other, share their ideas and opinions.

The networking platform can be accessed by registering online at www.cambridgeenglish.org/in/teachers-competition as well as through invitation on the Android and iOSmobile app.

The app is another step to enable educators to leverage technology to have access to curated resources and a qualified peer network. Angela ffrench, Director of Operations, South Asia, Cambridge English Language Assessment said 'Language teachers in India have always been very enthusiastic about professional development, and our new platform gives them a great opportunity to pool their knowledge and expertise. We continually aim to provide support for our teachers and this app is an invaluable communication network that enables us to reach out to them with utmost ease and stay connected.' Cambridge English India Network has launched this application in collaboration with Concept I Connect.

Competition for Teachers to be rolled out for teachers

Cambridge English Language Assessment is launching a competition for English Teachers on September 5th on the occasion of Teachers day. To be accessed through the application both online or though mobile, the competition will target the teachers of Schools and Higher Education segment. Teachers are invited to register for the competition at www.cambridgeenglish.org/in/teachers-competition that will provide them access to the online/mobile network platform. The entries for the competition have to be submitted only through this application. The competition involves the teacher to develop an innovative and original classroom activity for any one of the four skills Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking.

The entry submission window for the competition will be open from 19th October to 31stOctober, 2015. There will be scheduled webinars that are aimed at providing tips on how to prepare the entry submissions and how to access and use the Cambridge English India Network.The submitted activities will be available for viewing on the application and the participants can also like or comment on the same.The activity which receives the highest number of likes and the most active participant will also be awarded in addition to the winning entries. The results for the competition will be announced on 15th November, 2015.
