TV anchor complains against husband Hyderabad: A female anchor working for a news channel on Thursday filed a case against her husband alleging harassment with the support of a police officer.
The anchor, popular as Meghana Reddy, has been staying away from her husband Nagender Reddy along with her two kids for the last two months after she came to know of some startling facts.
Meghana told media persons that she had found some videos some time ago showing obscene videos of girls shot by her husband using spy cameras.
'I confronted my husband with the videos and in turn came to know that he has been making such videos with the support of Malakpet assistant commissioner of police Mohammed Iqbal Siddiqui.
I also came to know that the duo had been blackmailing their victims and demanding them to introduce other girls to them lest their videos would find their way to youtube and video parlours.
I asked my husband to stop such illegal and immoral activities lest I will file a case to see that no more girls are victimised,' Meghana said.
She alleged that she was subjected to torture by her husband and the ACP had threatened her over phone not to disclose about the videos to anyone. Meghana said she was forced to stay away from her husband following harassment.
'On Wednesday, my husband forcibly took away my kids demanding return of some of the videos hidden by me to be used as evidence. I sent the videos through my brother Sainath on Thursday to get my kids back.
However, my brother was whisked away by unidentified people suspected to be police personnel sent by the ACP,' she told media persons.
Soon after the media telecasted the allegations of Meghana, her brother Sainath returned home safely.
Meanwhile, the Central Crime Station (CCS) officials have registered a case against Meghana's husband for alleged torture and launched investigations.
On the other hand, ACP Iqbal Siddiqui told that the allegations were false. 'I knew Nagender Reddy since he is a television mechanic and came to me a couple of times to repair my television set,' he said.
