Two days ACB custody for Pattabhi Hyderabad, June 29 (INN): The Anti Corruption Bureau Court on Friday granted two days ACB custody for suspended Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) judge Justice Pattabhi Ramarao, who was accused in cash-for-bail case of former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhana Reddy in an illegal mining case.
While granting ACB custody for two days from Friday, the court asked the ACB to question him before his lawyers from morning 10 to 5 pm and don't use any third degree methods.
The court also directed the ACB to shift him to Cherlapally jail after completion of probe and medical tests.The court directed ACB to produce him in the court after the expiry of custody.
Earlier the ACB has sought five days custody of Pattabhi Ramarao. However, the court granted only two days custody.
It may be mentioned Justice Pattabhi Ramarao has allegedly accepted a bribe of Rs 6 crore to grant bail to mining baron Gali Janardhana Reddy in the illegal mining case of Obulalpuram Mining Corporation.
The ACB has already arrested retired Judge P V Chalapathi Rao and Pattabhirama Rao's son T Ravi Chandra in the case and seized cash of Rs 1.6 crore from their possession.
