TAGC, ATA Conducted 2014 Chess Tournament
Chicago, March 11th 2014: Telugu Association of Greater Chicago (TAGC) and American Telugu Association (ATA) conducted the 2014 Chess Tournament on March 9th at Russian School of Mathematics in Naperville near Chicago. Participants started arriving at around 9:30 AM. There were more than 45 participants of various ages.
Everyone played four rounds in a Round Robin format, and then the top 3 participants in each category were announced as winners at the end of the event.
TAGC President Srinivas Pedamallu and TAGC Exectuive committee and BODs Hari Raini, Sujatha Appalaneni, Kiran Mattey and Dr Bhargavi Nettem presented the trophies to all the winners.

Sports Committee Chair Ravi Upad, Co-Chair Pradeep Kandimalla, Sports Committee Members Srinivas Chada, Uma Katiki and Ramesh Garapaty worked hard and took care of all the logistics and made the event a grand success. From this winners list, Sports committee announced 8 participants who were sponsored by TAGC for 'Intercontinental School Chess Teams Championship" which is going to be held on March 29th and 30th at Country Inn and Suites at 1837 Centre Point Cir Naperville, IL.
