Congress expels 11 rebels for six years Hyderabad, April 19 (INN): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Saturday expelled 11 leaders who filed nominations against the party's official candidates in the ensuing Assembly elections.
Those expelled from Congress for six years including Ramshyam Reddy (Paler), Khammam DCC President Vanama Venkateshwara Rao (Kothagudem), G Darshan Rao (Aswaraopet) and Warangal's ex-DCC chief D Madhav Rao (Narsampet).
The other leaders who have been expelled include Ella Balreddy, Jaipal Reddy, N Krishna (Ibrahimpatnam), M Venkat Reddy and K Goverdhan Reddy in Ranga Reddy district; M Somva Reddy and Madulagal Reddy of Medak and APYC Secretary Vanama Raghavendra Rao of Khammam.
These leaders were expelled following a recommendation made by party's Disciplinary Committee led by Kodanda Reddy. MLC Farooq Hussain, Banda Prakash and PV Satyanarayana are the other members of the Committee.
