Kishan Reddy slams Congress, TRS for criticising BJP Hyderabad, April 19 (INN): Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy on Saturday accused the Congress and TRS of trying to take advantage of some differences that cropped between the TDP and BJP alliance.
Addressing a press conference here, Kishan Reddy said that both Congress and TRS made objectionable remarks against the TDP-BJP alliance during the last two days.
However, he said by ending the differences, the alliance gave a fitting reply to the Congress and TRS. He reiterated his claim that Telangana became a reality due to BJP's support.
However, he said that AICC President Sonia Gandhi tried to take entire credit for Telangana formation during her speech in Karimnagar.
Kishan Reddy said that BJP National President Rajnath Singh had announced unconditional support to Telangana Bill and the party supported it to respect the sentiments of Telangana people.
He asked TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah to clarify his stand on Pranahita Chevella project. He asked as to why the Centre was reluctant to give national project status to Pranahita Chevella project. He said pending clearances could be taken even after giving it the status of national project.
The BJP president said that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi was a movement earlier and now it is a regular political party which lacks maturing. He condemned TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao for targeting the BJP and its leaders.
Regarding BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, Kishan Reddy condemned the Congress and other leaders for criticising him on the issue of communal riots. He said Modi himself did not participate or instigated any riots. All communities are living in harmony in Gujarat and other political parties are unnecessarily targeting Modi and BJP over the issue of 2002 riots.
