HELP Foundation 20th Anniversary in NJ Edison, New Jersey, USA: 'Manava Seva is Madhava Seva' (Service to Humanity is Service to God), reminded Upendra Chivukula, Assembly man and the New Jersey Deputy Speaker. Mahatma Gandhi said it once and HELP Foundation is practically doing it, he appreciated the founders and the management team of the HELP Foundation.
Health and Education for Less Privileged (HELP) Foundation from New Jersey, USA celebrated 20th anniversary on June 29th, 2014 at Royal Albert Palace. The audience enjoyed the music and entertainment program by Anitha Krishna, Suresh Ramachandran and Comedy Show by Adam Mamawala.
HELP Foundation was started in 1994 by likeminded people with a mission to change life of less fortunate kids in India.
Foundation started with supporting 4 Children on a month to month basis in 1994 and is currently supporting 160 orphans and destitutes for life in 7 different orphanages all over India. More than 2000 children were given Annual Support in the past 20 years.
HELP Foundation's fund is 100 percent used for the Children and the events were paid by the sale of the tickets, explained the President V. Rao Vakkalagadda. We spend the interest alone from the fund and the fund is perpetual, he told.
All the work for the Foundation is performed by Volunteers. Foundation has zero overhead cost. All the donations are Tax Free. All the donated money is put in an Endowment and only the interest is sent to child in India. Once the child graduates and leaves the orphanage, a new child is put in the same place. Thus the sponsorship is perpetual.
By the end of the program, we had 21 new Life Sponsorships and 24 new Annual Sponsorships, Rao said in a press release.
HELP Foundation asks: 'A child's life is an open canvas. What color do you want to paint on it?'. For more details, one can visit: http://www.helpfoundation.org
