KCR to give final touches to industrial policy Hyderabad: During a review of the industries department affairs on Monday, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao decided to give final touches to the State's industrial policy in a week.
He directed officials to procure land, allot it to Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation and to take all the permissions from the concerned departments on their own. The Chief Minister made it clear that there was no need to take the permission of Pollution Control Board for every industry.
Chandrasekhara Rao however wanted officials to find out industries that need permissions from PCB. The Chief Minister directed officials to hand over lands to TSIIDC after converting them into industrial corridors by providing them with the infrastructure.
He wanted them to put maps, photos and videos in a website with details like location of the lands, distance from the airport, railway tracks and national and state highways along with the information on availability of water, power and other infrastructure.
The Chief Minister said that coordinates should be provided in the site so that industrialists can get information through a simple Google search.
He wanted some land to be allocated for construction of living quarters for employees of the industries in those corridors. Chandrasekhara Rao said that officials should come out with clarity on the model of the industrial policy, working style of single window system, work of the chasing cell, new acts that were needed and the policy related decisions.
He said that the industrial policy of Telangana should be the best in the world since a large number of national and international players were eagerly waiting to invest here.
