Jagan plea for return of Telugus from Libya HYDERABAD: YSRC president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy urged Union external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj to initiate steps to ensure the safe return of workers stranded in Libya.
In a letter to the minister, the YSRC chief said a major cause of concern was over 1,000 Telugu people, from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, being stranded in Libya with no way to return. As many as 100 hail from Kurnool district alone.
Western countries have already called back their nationals from Libya in the wake of a civil war breaking out. There could me more number of Indians, but majority are from Andhra Pradesh, he said.
