Medak bracing itself for campaign din SANGAREDDY: Now, it is time for campaigning in the Medak Lok Sabha constituency and the people of the seven Assembly segments of the constituency will be treated to election meetings once again, hardly four months after the general election.
All the three major parties _ TRS, Congress and BJP _ eyeing the prestigious Lok Sabha seat are gearing up to woo the voters in the VIP constituency with their promises and criticism of their opponents. Schedules have been drawn and leaders allocated to lead the campaign to ensure victory of the candidate of their respective parties.
Here is a brief look at the poll campaign preparations of the three parties.
Telangana Rashtra Samithi
Starting constituency meetings of the party cadre will be held in two Assembly segments each and will be completed in three days' time. Meetings were held at Narsapur and Sangareddy, and in the Assembly constituencies.
One minister each has been made campaign in-charge for one Assembly segment.
MLAs and MLCs have been entrusted with campaigning at mandal level.
Each and every village is to be covered.
To use one campaign vehicle in each Assembly segment and mini publicity vehicles at mandal level.
Important meetings will be attended by the party MLAs, MLCs and ministers.
Irrigation minister and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao made in-charge of the entire election campaigning.
Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will address two meetings or one mammoth public meeting on the final day of campaigning.
Bharatiya Janata Party
BJP and TDP cadres to jointly campaign for the party candidate.
One MLA made in-charge of one Assembly segment.
Important leaders of both the parties entrusted with campaigning at mandal level.
BJP state chief G Kishan Reddy and TDP leader A Reventh Reddy will be the star campaigners.
TDP's Errabelli Dayakar Rao and L Ramana, and BJP's Bandaru Dattatreya and Nagam Janardhan Reddy, along with others, will participate in election meetings.
Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan will also campaign for Jagga Reddy.
Union minister for external affairs Sushma Swaraj and BJP national president Amit Shah are likely to address a couple of meetings.
Party leadership is contemplating to have prime minister Narendra Modi address one meeting.
TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is also likely to address a meeting.
Congress
Former minister and Zaheerabad MLA J Geetha Reddy, Narayankhed MLA P Kishta Reddy and MLC Farooque Hussain will take care of the party's campaigning.
Former deputy chief minister Damodara Rajanarasimha will be the overall campaign in-charge.
Senior leaders will be deputed to various mandals to take care of the campaigning at village level.
TPCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah, leader of the opposition in the Assembly K Jana Reddy and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumanth Rao will address meetings at important places.
Efforts are being made to invite party president Sonia Gandhi or vice-president Rahul Gandhi to address at least one meeting.
