Fuelling hatred will hamper growth HYDERABAD: In an oblique reference to the TRS government in Telangana, Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said it was not appropriate on anybody's part to inflame hatred among people.
The minister was speaking here after laying the foundation stone for a new facility of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India. The facility, which is expected to be ready by June next, will cater to its registered members numbering around 40,000 across the country. Terming Hyderabad a global city, Naidu called upon investors to invest in the city without second thoughts.
'All those in Hyderabad are Hyderabadis and everybody has equal freedom. It is important to bear in mind that fuelling hatred would only hamper development,' he said and advised the State government to create a congenial atmosphere to attract investments.
'It is immaterial which party is leading the State, but one needs to keep up the special attraction of Hyderabad as a global city,' he remarked. With Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the helm of affairs, he said there was a positive mood across all communities, the business community in particular.
He said after the BJP-led NDA came to power at the Cenre, the GDP growth rate rose to 5.7 per cent from 4 per cent under the UPA rule. Under the Jana Dhana Yojana, three crore bank accounts have been opened in last 15 days, he added.
