AP enhances age limit for recruitment Hyderabad, September 23: Andhra Pradesh government has issued orders enhancing the upper age limit for direct recruitment from 34 years to 40 years.
The GO issued by Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao said accordingly the above ad hoc rule was prescribed in Rule 12 of the AP State and subordinate services rules,1996.
The decision to enhance the upper age limit by six years was taken in view of shrinking of employment opportunities to educated youth in the State after bifurcation.
The relaxation of upper age limit will give opportunity to unemployed persons as government is keen to fill all vacant posts in various categories and the recruiting agencies are notifying vacancies from time to time.
The upper age limit relaxation to 40 years will be valid till September 30, 2016, the GO said.
