AP Government to clear 20 pc crop loans soon VIJAYAWADA: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the newly -constituted Farmers' Empowerment Corporation on the premises of NTR College of Veterinary Science, Gannavaram, near Vijayawada, on October 21.
Before attending the programme at Gannavaram, he will participate in a programme to mark the Police Commemoration Day at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium (IGMC) and inaugurate the renovated Police Control Room.
Reviewing the arrangements with the officials here Sunday, Krishna district collector M Raghunandan Rao said that the chief minister would also interact with farmers after inaugurating the corporation.
It is learnt that the government will transfer Rs 5,000 crore as grant-in-aid to the corporation towards the first installment under the Agriculture Debt Redemption scheme. The amount will be disbursed to the accounts of farmers for repayment of 20 per cent of their outstanding crop loan.
