TDP not to field candidate in Allagadda Hyderabad, Oct 20 (INN): Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishnamurthy on Monday announced that the Telugu Desam Party will not filed its candidates in the by poll for the Allagadda assembly.
Speaking to media persons here, Krishnamurthy announced that his party had taken the decision by respecting the practice of not fielding candidates in case of the demise of the incumbent MLA.
It may be recalled that YSRCP has not fielded its candidate in the by-election in Nandigama Assembly constituency due to the death of TDP's MLA-elect T Prabhakar Rao.
The by-election for Allagadda seat was necessitated following the death of YSRCP leader Bhuma Shoba Nagireddy in a road accident. The YSRCP has fielded her daughter, Bhuma Akhila Priya, as party's candidate for the by-polls.
The bye-election in Allagadda will be held here on November 8 and the result will be declared on November 12.
