100 Cr for Hussain Sagar Cleaning Process Hyderabad, Nov 23 (INN): The Telangana State Cabinet took several policy decisions during its meeting held at the State Secretariat on Sunday evening. The three-hour long meeting was chaired by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and members of his cabinet.
The cabinet has approved the Hussain Sagar cleaning process and approved Rs 100 crore for the same. It also gave nod to the new industrial policy and also decided to introduce a new sand policy. In order to strengthen the Panchayati Raj system, the cabinet has decided to grant more powers to the Sarpanches.
Distribution of agricultural pumpsets through NEDCAP also got cabinet approval and it has been decided to call tenders for the same. The cabinet also approved the setting up of Water Grid Corporation, Telangana Rural Roads Corporation and Telangana Roads and Development Corporation.
The Women's Security Bill has also been approved by the State Cabinet.
