Will move HC against renaming airport terminal: Diggy Hyderabad : With the Centre renaming the domestic terminal at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, after NTR, the aggrieved Congress party has authorized its general secretary Digvijay Singh to rush to Hyderabad and counter the erratic move by the NDA government.
Talking to media persons during membership drive taken up by the Telangana Congress at Gandhi Bhavan here, Digvijay Singh criticized the decision of the Narendra Modi government for giving NTR name to the domestic terminal at Shamshabad airport.
Demanding that the Centre continue Rajiv Gnadhi's name for the airport, he warned that the Congress would move the High Court against the Centre's decision. Digvijay Singh stiffly opposed the Centre for taking a unilateral decision without consulting the State government on this count.
Slams KCR on defections Digvijay Singh has criticized Chief Minister KCR for encouraging defections in Telangana. He found fault with KCR for violating the Constitution by continuously encouraging defections.
'This phenomenon of attracting the leaders into their fold is not suitable for a leader like KCR', he said. No Chief Minister has encouraged such defections anywhere in the country, he noted. The Congress is planning to move the court against the defections, he added.
