MIM MLA demands probe into sale of Wakf properties Hyderabad, Nov 24 (INN): MIM MLA Jaffer Hussain Meraj on Monday demanded high-level probe into the alleged sale of Wakf properties in the city.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour in the State Legislative Assembly, Meraj alleged that 5 acres and 33 guntas of land in Chevella, belonging to Moula Ali Chilla, in Survey No 21 and 22 have been sold out through third party.
Similarly, he alleged that 328 acres of land, belonging to Dargah Hakeem Shah Baba, have been encroached upon by ABN Andhra Jyothi and Film Nagar Society. While demanding immediate probe, he asked the government to take steps to restore the encroached Wakf land.
Deputy Chief Minister Mehmood Ali assured that the State Government would take action in this regard.
