No plans to supply 9 hour power to farmers: CM Hyderabad, Nov 24 (INN): The Telangana Government has no plans to supply nine hours power to agriculture sector in the State.
This was stated by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao while replying to a query raised by MLA S Vankata Veeraiah and others during Question Hour in the State Legislative Assembly. He also said that there was no proposal with the government to abolish surcharge on pumpsets as only customer charges are being collected @ rate of Rs 30 per month.
As per the category-wise details of power connections furnished by the Chief Minister, there were 84,16,407 Domestic LT; 10,19,750, Non-Domestic/Commercial LT; 84,378 LT Industrial; 8894 Cottage Industries and 19,32,163 Agriculture LT connections in the State.
