KCR says no wrong committed in land allotment to DLF HYDERABAD: Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said there were no irregularities in land allotment to DLF and others by the previous Congress government.
'As everything is in a proper manner and the allotment of land was done through auction, the TRS ratified the same,' Rao informed the State Legislative Assembly.
The debate on land allotment resumed in the House on Monday. Congress member Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka wanted the chief minister to clarify why the TRS has ratified the land allotment to DLF and others, when there were allegations of irregularities.
Responding to this, the chief minister said, 'Everything is done in a proper manner. That is why I have endorsed the same.' 'I never said in my speech in the Assembly the other day that the previous government did some mistake. The previous government did not allot the land directly, but through open auction. There is no loss to the exchequer,' Rao said.
'Some members levelled baseless allegations, which hurt me deeply. When there is no mistake on the part of the government to allot land to DLF and others, some levelled allegations against me to tarnish my image,' Rao said.
Bhatti Vikramarka said the chief minister lost balance during his speech in the Assembly four days ago on the allotment of land to DLF.
'Rao made some sweeping remarks. The chief minister should be restrained in his words and articulation,' Bhatti Vikramarka said. He also said the CM threatened to impeach a member, which was never done in any House.
