Naidu, a bundle of lies: Jagan Ongole, Nov 25 (INN): Giving a clarion call to the cadre to get ready for a long-drawn agitation against the anti-people policies of the TDP government, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that Chandrababu Naidu's governance is based on a bundle of lies as he is unable to fulfill even a single election promise.
Addressing the review meeting here on Tuesday, the Leader of Opposition said, 'Chandrababu Naidu is able to govern the State by a series of lies the second one to cover up the first, as he knew very well that he cannot fulfill the poll promise and we must be prepared for undertaking agitation path to question TDP's turnaround policies.'
'The difference of votes between YSR Congress Party and TDP is just 5 lakh votes and the number is much less than the majority we could get in previous by-election to Kadapa Lok Sabha seat. When analyzed, the reason for the slender margin to TDP was said to be that he and his friendly media made some people believe in rural areas that he would waive the loans and in urban areas it was the Modi factor that worked,' he said.
Knowing very well that he cannot fulfill the promises, Chandrababu Naidu went on to tell the lies; we could not do the same as we want to have long-term governance which cares for the people. No one will idolize a Chief Minister who tells lies and skips the core issues. YSR photo can be seen in many houses and I long for such popularity, Jagan said.
'Naidu on the other hand has deliberately cheated people by promising total loan waiver of farmers and DWACRA groups besides providing one job per family failing which unemployment stipend of Rs 2,000 would be paid to the youth,' he said.
'After coming to power nothing has come true. The loan waiver has been drastically cut down while the total loan of farmers and women groups sum up to Rs 1.10 lakh crores and the penal interest itself works out to Rs 14,000 crores.
Farmers and women groups turned defaulters as they believed Chandrababu Naidu's promise and the accumulated penalty runs into Rs 28,000 crores while Chandrababu Naidu has earmarked just Rs 5,000 crores for loan waiver and is boasting that he has waived 20 % of loans which is sheer bluffing,' he said.
Asking the cadre to get ready for agitation programmes, Jagan said that people who come to power by telling lies cannot fool people all the time and they will be rejected.
